The Purpose of Knowing The Creator

The purpose of knowing the Creator is to discover the purpose of the human being. But first, Who is our Creator?

We learn from the Quran who Creator really is. It is also clear that our Creator is One and the same. For each congregation, we have decreed rites whereby they commemorate the name of GOD for providing them with the livestock. Your god is one and the same god; you shall all submit to Him. Give good news to the obedient.

  • (Q17:110)Say, “Call Him God, or call Him Most Gracious; whichever name you use, to Him belongs the best names.”
  • [Q59:22] He is the One GOD; there is no other god beside Him. Knower of all secrets and declarations. He is the Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
  • [Q59:23] He is the One GOD; there is no other god beside Him. The King, the Most Sacred, the Peace, the Most Faithful, the Supreme, the Almighty, the Most Powerful, the Most Dignified. GOD be glorified; far above having partners.
  • [Q59:24] He is the One GOD; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

‘Best Provider’ see Qur’an 5:114, 22:85, ...‘Best Supporter’ 150...‘Best Schemer’ 3:54. ‘Best Judge’ 7:87, 10:109, 12:80...‘Most Accurate Reckoner’ 6:62 ‘Best Forgiver’ 7:155

  • (Q:112) Proclaim, “He is the One and only God. The Absolute God. Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten. None equals Him.
  • (Q114) Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of the people. The King of the people. The god of the people. From the evils of sneaky whisperers. Who whisper into the chests of the people. Be they of the jinns, or the people.

There is only one purpose, one mission of human beings: to be a righteous worshipper of the Creator alone. This is clarified in the Quran verse 51:56 where God says I did not create the Jinns and the Humans except to worship Me alone”.
There are also the following verses:

  • [Q90:4] We created the Human being to work hard to redeem himself.
  • [Q45:22] GOD created the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose, in order to pay each soul for whatever it earned, without the least injustice.

The reason we need to work hard is that redeeming ourselves and entering God’s Kingdom is conditional upon passing God’s admission tests.

  • [Q2:214] Do you expect to enter Paradise without being tested like those before you? They were tested with hardship and adversity, and were shaken up, until the Messenger and those who believed with him said, ‘where is GOD’s victory?’ GOD’s victory is near.
  • [Q2:155] We will surely test you through some fear, hunger, and loss of money, lives, and crops. Give good news to the steadfast.
  • [Q9:111] GOD has bought from the believers their lives and their money in exchange for Paradise. Thus, they fight in the cause of GOD, willing to kill and get killed. Such is His truthful pledge in the Torah, the Gospel, and the Quran—and who fulfils His pledge better than GOD? You shall rejoice in making such an exchange. This is the greatest triumph.

We need to work hard to overcome our human fickleness.

  • [Q39:49] If the human is touched by adversity he implores us, but as soon as we bestow a blessing upon him, he says, ’I attained this because of my cleverness!’ Indeed, this is only a test, but most of them do not know.

So, we need to work hard to pass the admission tests. These are tests from our Creator designed to demonstrate that we solidly believe that Creator alone has the power to benefit or harm. We need to demonstrate that we worship God alone, under all circumstances.
